Coffee Lovers Bloghop-Day 3

It's Day 3 of the Winter 2017 Coffee Lovers Bloghop!  Today I'm creating with some Brutus Monroe and Lawn Fawn and here's what I came up with:

Absolutely LOVE the adorable and fun Coffee Cozy stamp set from Brutus Monroe!  It's the first chance I've had to use it since I got the set a few weeks ago.  It's a set of 3 to go cups all dressed up in their various cozies.. so sweet!  And the coordinating sentiments and hearts are perfect!  I stamped the cup and heart on watercolor paper with Ranger Archival Ink and used my watercolor pencils and brush to color them in.

I needed a quick card for Day 3 because I've been getting ready for company to come and a birthday party (cleaning mostly because my wonderful son is a Chef and he offered to be in charge of dinner... Score!).  So I let the stamps and dies do the work.

That beautiful "frame" behind the adorable cup is part of the Jennifer Mandala set from Brutus Monroe.  It's a gorgeous die set... you can check it out here ... think large doily like pattern.  What's cool about this one is it's in two parts!  The center can be cut separately and used alone or with the larger piece.  I just needed a small frame here, so I used the center only.  I can tell this set is going to be a favorite in my craft room!

I used my Lawn Fawn Snowflake Dies and cut them in the same color of glitter paper as the Mandala and scattered them around ... including on the little Mandala piece.  I stamped one of the sentiments on this vellum banner I had left over from a previous project (cut using the Craftin Desert Divas Flag Banner Dies.) and then would you look at those cooool sequins??  Those are from Brutus Monroe and you can check out these Bottle Cap Sequins in Crystal here!

That's me for today!  Come back tomorrow for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (I have a feeling it might have a coffee theme...lol)!   Thanks for stopping!

Coffee Lovers Bloghop-Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Winter 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Today I'm playing along using some of Hop Super Sponsor Verve Stamps and I'm also playing along with the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge for December!  Here's what I made:

The pretty plaid and polka dot papers are from My Minds Eye.  Just love that strip of glitter that is incorporated into the plaid!

The pretty sentiment and cup are from the Verve Holiday Treats Stamp Set (and it's on sale right now!)  The set was one of my picks when I won the monthly challenge a couple months ago... it was so awesome!  I got this and another Christmas set and a few other things!  I stamped the cup in Versamark, embossed it with Gilded Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe and then used my zigs to color in the white stripes and handle to make it stand out a bit more.  Don't you love that cute sentiment!?

Quite a few of the embellishments on this one were laying around on my workspace overflowing from my "extras" container.  Not quite right for some other project but perfect for this one!  I love it when I can use up extras!

The other items I used on this one were from various companies.  The doily is from Gina Marie Designs, the snowflakes are from Lawn Fawn, the sequins are from Paper Sweeties, the Poinsettia is from Craftin Desert Divas, and the border is from Poppy Stamps I believe.  All of these companies are Sponsors for the Coffee Lovers Hop.. pretty awesome right?

I'm also playing along with the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge and this week's twist is Polka Dots!  You should check this one out too!  It's a Ning group so you have to join, but it is a lot of fun with lots of challenges and prizes!

Here is the sketch!  Hope you'll play along over there too!

As some of you know for most of the past hops I've commented on every single project.  I think once I just didn't have time in the middle of tax season and I tried to keep going after, but I never did make it quite all the way through...lol... it still haunts me!  I'm going for it again this year and I'm on 116!  It's a Labor of Love... I so enjoy seeing what everyone is using (although it does lengthen my wish list).  You should be hearing from me soon!  Thanks so much to all who have stopped by and left some love!  I do appreciate it!

See you again tomorrow!

Winter Coffee Lovers Hop-Day 1

Oh Happy Day!  Today is Day 1 of the Coffee Lovers Bloghop!  If you've never played along before, you should definitely play this time around!  Tons of sponsors and lots of creativity and fun!  Just create something new with a coffee, tea or cocoa AND holiday/winter themes!  Check out all of the details at the main blog post here!

Here's what I've created for today:

Today I'm sharing with you a card I created using Paper Sweeties stamps and dies.  I'm hopping along with my Paper Sweeties Design Teammates today!  Links to each of their projects are included below!  Paper Sweeties is a Super Sponsor for the hop!  You could win a gift certificate for the sets I used today or whatever sets you want!

Love this cutie pie snowman from the Snow Friends stamp set!  Each of his pieces is separate so it makes it easy to mix and match his outfit and do some paper piecing.  I paper pieced his scarf.

And these sweet little coffee drinking birdies from the You Warm My Heart stamp set... so cute!

And the sentiment is from that set too.. I used the stitched banner from the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts set.   And I finished it off with those pretty flower shaped cupped sequins in strawberry.

Just a little trio of friends having a warm beverage together.

I'm playing along with the Outlawz Twisted Thursday with a twist of Polka Dot Christmas for this week!  You should check this group out.. it's a lot of fun!

So thanks for stopping!  And be sure to check out what my Paper Sweeties have created for you today too!

And while you're playing along with the Coffee Hop, check out the Paper Sweeties December Anything Goes Challenge and play along there too!  The card I made today fits both challenges!

Cutting Cafe Inspiration-All About Christmas!

It's time for some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  And this time around it's All About Christmas!  Regina gave us free reign to use any Christmas sets we wanted and I used a few here to create some cards and tags! ('Cause.. don't tell, but I've barely started making my Christmas cards!!)

Just LOVE the Christmas Sentiment Shapes printable stamp set!  A set of shapes all filled in with wonderful songs lyrics.  The printable set also has an outline and an svg file.  I also used the sentiment circles from the Christmas Sucker Treat Cup Phrases printable set and the beautiful poinsettia I made using the Layered Flowers Template and Cutting Files

This tree tag is from the Christmas Sentiment Shapes set and that bulb is from the All About Christmas Printable Stamps.. another really cute set of printables with lots of different sentiments and images.  I colored mine with my copics and cut it out to add to my tree tag.

Here I printed this sentiment circle large to take up most of a circle shaped card and diecut it out.  And more flowers.... I stamped a vintage Santa and cut him out with a die to place him in the center of my sentiment..

This is my favorite... a little shabby chic maybe... and I used another circle sentiment and some more flowers... of course!  Along with a gold embossed Santa image and little bit of gold color splash and I was quite happy!

So thanks for stopping by!  I have lots more ideas for all of the images and sentiments I've printed out so I'll be sharing lots more between now and Christmas!  And I'll slowly be getting my cards out in the mail as well.  If only I could retire.. someone tell me I can retire and spend my day with glitter in my hair and ink on my fingers... well.. to be honest I probably do that most days anyway, but at least if I'm home it will be more acceptable!  Hope you'll give some of these printables a try!

Be sure to head on over to the Cutting Cafe Blog (here) today and check out what everyone has made!  You are gonna be glad you did!

Visions of Sugarplums 2017 - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori at Choux Choux Paper Art!  This is what I have for you today:

I've been wanting to transform a tin for quite some time and finally got the inspiration to use one to create an ornament!  I'm also excited to be the Guest Designer for Paper Smooches this month and I've been lucky to get to play with the new release and I've used a couple of those items on this piece.

I started with a little tin like for mints or something.   I took some metal tape from Lowe's that is used to keep duct work together and embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder.  I applied the tape to the tin and then I painted the entire tin with some white gesso to cover up any printing or flaws on it.  When I had applied a couple layers of that to it, I used some acrylic paint in seaglass and added a couple layers of that... tapping fingers... waiting for it to dry.

When that was dry, I added some Modge Podge to the front and inside and added a few layers of glitters and glass beads (the beads are just on the inside).  I then watercolored some images from the Cool Dudes (this cute couple is one of them) and Warm Hearts stamp sets.

I added that sweet snow couple to the front along with the Merry from the Merry Christmas 2 Die Set which I cut from red glitter paper.  And that beautiful bow!!  That is from the awesome new Ribbon Dies.  I put a snowflake from the Snowflakes Dies in the center of the bow and then a glitter gem in the center of that and attached it to the eyelash yarn I attached to the outside of the tin which allows it to hang.

And then when you open it:

More cuteness!  The snowmen are all from the Cool Dudes set and the trees and cardinal are from the Warm Hearts set.  I also cut some white glitter paper using the Wavy Pattern dies to create my layers of snow.  Lots of strong adhesive, liquid glass and popup tape later I had layered all of my pieces from back to front.

So... aren't those little teeny tiny snowmen so cute??  And there is only one on the set that faces looking towards your right... so how did I get the other one facing to your left do you ask...lol?  Well, I'm going to tell you anyway... I used the Mirror Blocks set to do some mirror image stamping or as some of you know it, stamp kissing.  I placed one of the blocks in my misty on the bottom layer without the pad and placed the little snow dude on the other side... inked it up and stamped it onto the mirror block stamp.  Then I took my paper and placed it onto the stamped image and now I had a snowman image facing the opposite way!  Very cool and it took some practice, but it really extends all of my stamp sets now that I know how to do it!

A couple tips, make sure your stamp is inky... and with the misty you are able to add some extra ink, but don't press down too hard because you'll spread the ink out.  Work fairly quickly so your ink doesn't dry and when you press down on the paper make it a firm and quick motion.

And then down on the bottom part (or really the lid), more glitter and beads, more snowflakes and this awesome new die cut sentiment, Let's Chill!  And one more snowman for good measure...just love that little cutie!

I'm playing along with the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge #310-311 with this one!  You should check it out!  Also, Paper Smooches December Challenge is all about Winter!  You should definitely check this one out and play along!

Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge-Silver & Gold!

Welcome to the December Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge Silver and Gold!  We're creating projects with this paper pack as inspiration and here's how I was inspired:

I made a non-traditional Christmas card and I'm linking up with the Color My Heart Color Dare Non-Traditional Christmas Linky Party! and also with the Heart2Heart Silver and Gold Challenge!

I chose to add my two non-traditional colors using these pink and blue gems ... this pretty Joy sentiment is from an old old CTMH set.. and I embossed this long ago and had it in my pile of Christmas items.  It was perfect for this card!

Love this Silver & Gold Paper pack... especially my favorite piece... the pretty white with shiny gold hearts that I used here:

Thanks for stopping today!  Hope you'll play along with us this month!  Now check out what Donna and Susan have created for you this month and you can linkup and play along here!
