Paper Sweeties February Blast From The Past Day 3!

Welcome to Day 3 of February Blast From The Past at Paper Sweeties!  Today I'm using a few of my very favorite sets... I started with the set I use most often.. the Sweet Borders sweet cuts are my go to for the banners... those pretty stitches!!  Love the rectangle cut as a backdrop... and those scallops... and those are only a few of what's with this set and I love every single one of them!

Pretty Posies stamp set also gets inked up quite frequently here!  And I love all of the scalloped frame sweet cuts sets... they make awesome backdrops or accents.. I had this one in my stash of leftovers and it was perfect to frame the florals... oh those red Copics give me fits, but I do love the way they look when I'm done...

And the sentiments on the Hello Friend stamp set are the perfect size for this banner or the one that comes with that set... LOVE that one!

Hope you enjoyed our ode to past releases and so many of our favorites!  Check out what everyone else has created for you today!

Paper Sweeties February Blast From The Past-Day 2!

Welcome back for Day 2 of the February Edition of Blast From The Past at Paper Sweeties!

I started this one by sanding that gray piece of cardstock and then stamping the bicycle from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set over it.

Just love this sweet bicycle with the little heart on the wheels!  I love how it has a kind of vintage feel to it and it was perfect on this distressed cardstock.

Then I added a couple tags cut using the Tags #1 Sweet Cuts in some coordinating papers and stamped this simple sentiment from the Hugs and Kisses set.  Some yummy seam binding in Robin Egg blue, sequins in strawberry and some premade flowers from my stash.

Thanks for stopping again!  Don't forget to check out what my teamies have created for your viewing pleasure:

Paper Sweeties Blast From The Past-February Edition

Happy Valentines Day and welcome to the February Edition of Paper Sweeties Blast From The Past!  We're sharing some projects made with our favorite previously released Paper Sweeties sets over the next couple days!

I started this one by using various heart Sweet Cuts from a couple sets and cutting out my heart shaped shaker windows.

And what do YOU do when you forget to put the window plastic on before you add your foam tape?  Do you start over?  No starting over in this crafty space!  I turn it into a faux shaker!  I adhere my window layer onto my cardstock and then glue a few sequins here and there making sure some are tucked under a bit and add some beads.  I used liquid glass to attach everything.

I try to be a little random about the placement... a stray sequin here and there and same with the beads.  And right now it sounds a little shaker-ish because I've lost a few beads in the mix.  They're floating around and yes, eventually they will end up on someone's

When I got done I added a few paper flowers to each of the "windows" for fun.

I used this pretty tag from the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts and love this sentiment from the Happy Mail Stamp Set.

That's me for today!  Be sure to check out what everyone has created for you today!

And come back tomorrow for some more fun!

Heart 2 Heart Challenges Guestie - True Love

Excited to be guesting again this week over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges!  This week it's all about True Love and here's what I made:

I mean, yeah, I love my hubby!  But... Nom Nom... I also love pizza... lol!  So here's to both of them!  I used some old CTMH Fundamentals for the background and had the doilies in my stash.

I threw this one together along with the other cards today for our Office Valentine Party ... we're doing some Make N Takes and I spent Sunday cutting lots of background papers, hearts, and sentiment banners so they'll have lots of options to choose from.  And today's cards are my samples.

I love this cute pizza image and sentiment from Close To My Heart's To The Moon stamp set!!  I added a squiggly line for the cheese line because I felt the need to have some sauce peeking out.  I'm telling you... I'm very picky about my pizza... even when it's just a stamp.... gotta have enough sauce!

Oh!  And here's a reminder about the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge for February!  Nom Nom!  Be sure to play along!

So for this one, I wanted to have one card with no image so everyone at the party knew they didn't have to stamp and color an image... they could make a cute card just with some sentiments I cut on my Cricut and a few sequins and glittery hearts... BUT then there was this cutie pie from Little Acres Creations From The Pack stamp set.. and I just had to... I mean... look at him!!

I'm entering this one into the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge #320-321!  You should check this one out!

I'd be giving him Hugs & Kisses all day long!!

For this one I used some old CTMH Fundamentals for the background again and that cactus is from an oldie but goodie, CTMH Stuck On You stamp set..

Any chance to use green and pink together along with tiny heart paper and a!

I also made this backdrop for some fun photos during the party.   It was a busy day!!

So thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you'll play along over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges!  You have all month to play along with all of the weekly challenges.  Check it out!

Joining Graciellie Design For Some Coffee Lovin'!

It's finally here!  Today is the day for this awesome collaboration between Graciellie Design and the Coffee Loving Cardmakers!  And I think you are going to love this new set that we were so lucky to have a chance to play with!

You should have arrived here from Kerry's blog!  And if you get lost along the way, you can always head on back to the Graciellie Design blog where you will find the entire list for this hop!

Here is what I've created for you today:

If you're familiar at all with Gracie's images, you know that they are always beautiful... the florals, the sentiments, the fonts, and this one is no exception!  It was perfect to use with some of my favorite colors including gold and pink.

And I love my black and white with some gold and some pink... throw in a little bright yellow and green and my eyes dance.

And the beautiful sentiments on this one!  I printed them all out in different sizes and decided on this one and cut it using a heart die and colored it with the same Copic markers I used for the flowers.

And secondly:

These images and sentiment screamed to be made into a Coffee Lovin' Valentine!   I used a shaving cream background that I made a while ago and embossed using white distressed embossing powder and gold glitter embossing powder.  And those flowers in red!!

Well, you've probably already seen these flowers look great in every color.. but the red...

And speaking of red, I took some of those sentiments I printed on my laser printer and foiled them ... this one I printed on vellum and used red glitter foil...

So happy you stopped by to see me!  Leave me some love here and at all of your stops along the way as you hop and you'll have a chance to win one of two $10 gift certificates!  Winners will be announced on February 17th!

Now you'll want to head on over to Robyn's place to see what she has in store for you!

Unity Stamp Company Black & White Valentine Challenge

Over at Unity Show & Tell Group on Facebook they are having a Black & White Valentine Challenge!  I stumbled upon it today while ogling one of my fave designer's oh so pretty card (it's by Angeline Choo and you can see it here if you want or check out her blog here!) and while I should be doing so many other things (one of which is getting Happy Mail ready to send-almost there-almost ready for a trip to the post office) I figured this would be a quick one!  It was.. maybe not as quick as I thought, but it was quick!

I started with some pretty black & white paper from Gina K Designs Petite Patterns paper.  These can be foiled which is why I bought them, but for this one.... the challenge is black and white so I just used it plain!

I used the Unity Coffee Side By Side set... and if you think it wasn't a challenge for me to NOT color in those hearts red, you're kidding yourself!

I used this sentiment from my custom made Coffee set that Regina at The Cutting Cafe Shop made for me.  It was perfect to make this set work on a Valentines card!

And while searching through my stash for fun black and white embellishments, I thought this little mustache was perfect to top off the pretty hearts I diecut from some glitter paper using a CDD die... tee hee!

So that's it... gotta get to work!  Thanks for stopping by and hope you'll play along with this one.  If you love color like I do, then this one will be a challenge!  But it is fun to try!  (Although I just might color those hearts red before I go eat breakfast...haha!  Don't tell Whitney over at Unity!)
